13:09 Lukashenka: A third of gold and exchange currency reserves used to compensate money flow-out from banks

A third of Belarusian gold and exchange currency reserves had to be used to compensate for the money flow-out from banks.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has informed about it at his press conference organized for mass media.

“I tried to let the economy float during complicated periods. I tried not to do any harm.

We were simply watching what was going on in the society but we did not interfere or hamper anything. It turned out to be very effective. Money likes peace. I was worried about everything happening in the banking area.

Many people turned to banks to take some money and hide it under the pillow. You cannot change it by any administrative measures. We had to use about a third of our gold and exchange currency reserves to compensate for the money flow-out from banks”, - noted the President.
