Activist of Nyaklyayeu election team Kiryl Semyanchuk detained in Hrodna
An activist of Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu’s election team Kiryl Semyanchuk has been detained in Hrodna.
He took part in the agitation picket in Skidzel Market on December 17 and had to return to Minsk by train at night. According to the people who took the same train, Semyanchuk was detained in the railway terminal in the evening.
Aleh Kalinkou, Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu’s representative, found it out and asked the transport police department about it in the morning of December 18. They said that they had not detained the citizen. Other Hrodna police officers presented the same information. It is known that Semyanchuk is in Hrodna October District detention centre now.
OSCE observers have been informed about the incident, reports the human rights centre “Vyasna”.
