All water reservoirs in Minsk will be conducive for swimming... in 20 years

All water reservoirs in Minsk must be conducive for swimming by 2030, Minskgrada director Alexander Petrov said in a statement.
In his view, this is an absolutely doable task. A program has been already under way to clean up River Svislach where city sewage was drained for decades.

The construction of a technical reservoir to receive flows from all the rain collectors will be the most important element in the program. Located in Kalyadzichy, it will help prevent hazardous substances from city streets to enter natural water reservoirs in the Belarusian capital.
