Anti-Stalin youth resistance remembered in Minsk

The launch of a new book and a documentary film devoted to Rascislau Lapicki, the hero of the anti-Communist resistance in Belarus, took place in Minsk. The young man spearheaded an underground youth organization in Miadzel and Smargon districts in 1948-1950. His fellow resistance members disseminated thousands of anti-Stalin leaflets. Most of the participants in the group were arrested, while Rascislau Lapicki was executed.

Belarusian historian and public figure Mikhas Charniauski wrote a book about Lapicki and prepared a collection of documents about the underground movement. The documentary dilm "Rascislau Lapiscki" was directed by Valery Mazynski, reports Belapan news agency.
