"Barber of Seville" temporarily out of Minsk Opera Theatre repertoire

The National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre has problems with current repertoire, informs the agency Minsk-Naviny. The Chief Director of the theatre Uladzimir Hrydziushka admitted that. The reason for these problems is that some performances do not meet the conditions of the new theatrical stage. They need to be improved, for example, some need new costumes for the actors, some - new scenery. A 5-year perspective plan of updating and renovation of the repertoire has been elaborated. Thus, this year the opera "Eugene Onegin" will be temporarily removed and a new performance is planned to be put on during the season. "The Barber of Seville" faces the same destiny. A series of other performances will be renovated. They promise to do it very fast.
