Belarus among CIS consumer price rise leaders

Belarus ranked third among post-Soviet states in the rise of consumer prices in September, according to a BelaPAN survey of the countries’ official inflation data.



The country, where consumer prices rose by one percent last month, trailed Latvia and Ukraine with 1.1 percent each and was followed by Azerbaijan with 0.9 percent, Russia with 0.8 percent, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan with 0.7 percent, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Estonia with 0.6 percent, Armenia and Lithuania with 0.5 percent.

Consumer prices fell by 0.8 percent in Georgia.
