Belarus to buy police helicopters in France

The Interior Ministry of Belarus is building up a new police air wing. Interior Minister Uladzimir Navimau said a group of Belarusian specialists would be dispatched in late January to France to undergo a formal training.
Belarus will also buy a police helicpoter in France, reports Channel One. The specialists are expected to return home in March together with a helicopter. Belarus plans to buy more police helicopters from France in the future.

The choppers will be used to patrol major highways and also to airlift people during rescue operations by the Emergencies Ministry.
