Belarus to reduce income tax at secondary place of employment

Belarus plans to reduce the rate of income tax at the secondary work place from 20 percent down to 15 percent in 2008, according to the amendments to several taxation laws that MPs are expected to review today in the first reading, Sviatlana Hil, deputy chair of the Finance and Taxation Committee at the House of Representatives told the official news agency Belta. According to Hil, the legislation also envisages that people who have two places of employment will not have to file their income declaration from the secondary job. Next year, it will be sufficient just to make a written statement at the main work place.
