Belarus seeks Euro 1bn to fund a private project in energy sector

Belarus may be issued a loan of Euro 1 billion to implement a huge private project in the energy sector, reports the official news agency Belta. The issue was raised during the recent meetings in Minsk between the representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and officials from the Belarus's Energy Ministry.

The representatives of the European bank also expressed interest in the Belarusian enterprises which plan to build or modernize mini thermal power stations.
