Belarusian book and magazine confiscated from Ales Pushkin near the border

The painter was made to get off his train heading from Warsaw to Minsk at night. As soon as the Warsaw-Minsk train arrived in Brest (at about 2.45 a.m.), Belarusian customs officers made Ales Pushkin leave the train.

Pushkin was returning from Warsaw where he had been a guest of “Belsat” TV company. The painter had only 300 Polish zlotys on him (about 90 dollars).

Ales Pushkin spent 2 hours in the police office. His Belarusian book and “Belarusian bulletin” magazine were confiscated. The painter was released after a protocol of the detention had been drawn up.
