Belarusian consul to Vietnam meets pilot of Il-76 detained in Thailand

The Belarusian consul to Vietnam has arrived in the capital of Thailand - Bangkok. He has already met the Belarusians citizen Mihail Petuhou, reports BelTA referring to the press-secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrei Papou. Petuhou received the consul’s assistance. “We are conducting negotiations with the Thai authorities to allow the Belarusian citizen leave the country”, - explained Papou.
Let us remind you that the Thai police decided not to charge the pilots because the Belarusian and Kazakhstan authorities had expressed a desire to let their citizens stand trial at home. According to the Thai legislation, the term of detention of the Il-76 crew without accusing them ends today.
