Belarusian Republican Youth Union considers the incident near the Russian Embassy a clear provocation

Belarusian Republican Youth Union considers the criminal act committed against the Russian Embassy in Belarus a clear provocation, aimed to disturb the centuries-long friendship of Belarusian and Russian peoples and destabilization of good neighbourly relations between Belarus and Russia. This is declared in the official statement of the central committee of the public association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union". It is also underlined in the statement, that Belarusian people's tolerance would never allow fomitting inter-ethnic conflicts and hatred.

In addition to the above, the statement says that a series of internet-resources, which position themselves as "fighters for the truth", not only lead the society into misconception, but also fomit hatred between the two peoples, by fabricating facts that Belarusian Republican Youth Union is in some ways connected with this provocation.

Let us remind you, that unknown people threw two fiery bottles at the territory of the Russian Embassy in Minsk in the evening on August 30. No one suffered in the end of the incident. One bottle hit the car parked near the Embassy. Embassy's security guards managed to extinguish the fire by themselves. A criminal case in accordance with the Article "hooliganism" has been initiated upon the fact.
