Belarusian track and field athletics championship to take place in Brest
The Belarusian track and field athletics championship will take place in Brest on June 19 and 20. Competitions will be organized in stadiums “Brest” and “Locomotive”. Juniors born in 1990 and 1991 will take part in the tournament and compete for team and personal rewards, informs BelTA. Sportsmen from all regions of the country and Minsk will come to Brest.
The winner of the junior world championship 2007, a shot putter Alena Hryshko, a bronze medal winner of junior world championsip-2008 and the Belarusian junior record-holder hammer thrower Aleh Dubitski have come to the tournament.
The competitions will be the last stage of selection before the European junior championship that will take place in Serbian Novi-Sad on July 23-26.
