Best Mahileu hockey team lacks sticks and bus
A hockey club “Himvalakno” is having a hard time. The team occupies a high position in the tournament table of Belarusian Open but has problems with financing. Two of the three general sponsors appointed by Alyaksandr Lukashenka have not been allocating enough money to the club for three months. Surprisingly, the chief sponsor – chemical industrial giant “Himvalakno” - is not allocating money to the club. “Mahileuablgaz” fails to do it too.
The team has started living on credit. Food and medicine suppliers continue working according to signed agreements hoping to get paid for their goods and services soon. However, inventory supplies to the club have been suspended (hockey sticks in particular).
The club also lacks a bus of its own unlike the other teams participating in the country’s open championship. Neither the founders nor the administration of Mahileu have the money to buy a new bus costing about 300 thousand dollars.
