Biathlon coach “makes” 61 million roubles on fake receipts

The department of preliminary investigation of Minsk Savestki District department of the Interior has started a criminal case against a biathlon coach. The reason for it was the material of the Main directorate on prevention of corruption and economic crimes of the Ministry of Internal Affaires and other police departments. It has turned out that a 59-year-old specialist “took a false step” two years ago: he probably took a big sum of money for his own. In particular, he is suspected of having drawn up fake receipts to pay for accommodation and catering of the team during competitions from January till November 2006. Thus, the coach could have stolen more than 61 million roubles.
