Court in Astravets throws out case against Belarusian nuclear power plant
The Atsravets district court on June 16 closed hearings of the lawsuit filed by the Ecodom environmentalist group. Belapan news agency reminds that ecologists demanded that the directorate of the nuclear power plant construction release documents on the assessment of environmental impact of the future nuclear power plant. The group has sought to get this information in a digital or printed form since November 2009. Only in February 2010, the staff of the directorate offered environmentalists to come to the office to get the information. The documents would be availed in working hours in the office only.
The court in Astravets ruled that the case was not its jurisdiction and referred it to the Hrodna region commercial court.
