Defenders of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church to appeal to Filaret

The defenders of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church have an intention to appeal to the leader of the Belarusian Orthodox Church Filaret asking to assist the believers in getting their church, as well as the Bernardines' cloister, back. As it was informed by the Co-Chairman of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party Paval Sieviarynets, they planned to pass the said appeal with signatures on Tuesday. About 30 people took part in the picket on Sunday. Actions in defense of the church have been conducted on a daily basis since September 16. 18 people were detained on the first day, however, there have been no more excesses afterwards, informs BelaPAN.
