Deputy contender Iryna Yaskevich: They understood it would not stop me
The Central Election Commission has registered an entrepreneur from Vitsebsk Iryna Yaskevich as a deputy contender. It turned out that the commission had made a mistake checking the signatures collected in her support. They also did not believe that Yaskevich was the head of a small company although she had a document proving it. Iryna Yaskevich expressed her opinion about the decision of the CEC to register her in an interview with ERB:
"I do not think everything was simple. There were complaints and appeals and they understood that I would not stop trying to prove my case. Maybe they decided that it would be less complicated”.
Let us note that Yaskevich is on the list of the United Democratic Forces. She is also the head of the steering committee of the republican small-scale business trade union “TOGETHER”.
