Dutch national stopped by Belarus border guards on swine flu suspicion

The border crossing point Warsaw Bridge in Brest was closed for more than one hour, after a Dutch national was suspected to have the A/H1N1 virus. The Dutchman and two Belarus national were crossing the border into Belarus from Poland on July 22, when he reported to the medical aid unit, complaining about the headache and a high temperature.

All of the three travellers were immediately isolated at the Brest regional hospital fir tests. Their vehicle and offices were meanwhile disinfected.

After two hours at the hospital, doctors said that neither the Dutchman nor Belarus national had swine flu.
