Exposition of famous Polish photographer V.Yurkevich opens in Kobryn (photo)
An exposition of a famous Polish photographer Vitold Yurkevich “Images of Belarusian and Polish border zone” opened in Kobryn the other day. Inhabitants of the town will be able to see 30 photos taken in Brest Region during the author’s trip across Belarus in 2006.
The way of life of Belarusian villagers, the current state of orthodox and catholic churches, chapels and other historical monuments is shown in the pictures containing many scenes of rural life.
The exposition had been available in Brest before it arrived in Kobryn. But the city authorities did not allow organizing it in the regional museum and it was opened in an entrepreneur’s office. Yurkevich’s exposition will be opened in Kobryn House of Culture.
It will be possible to visit it during the next two weeks.
