Grandmother says American host family keeps Tanya Kazyra from going home

The grandmother of Tanya Kazyra asked the foreign ministry in Minsk to help the girl return from the United States to Belarus.
The girl has made up her mind to go home, but the American host family prevents her from traveling to Belarus and contacting Belarusian consul in Washington, Interfax quoted the grandmother as saying.

Tanya Kazyra’s refusal to part from her host family, which she had visited every summer since she was eight years old, caused a diplomatic tussle and led to a ban on Belarusian children's respite holidays in the USA.
