Heads of four sports federations forbidden to enter Europe

The heads of some Belarusian sports federations have been affected by the European Union’s visa sanctions. For example, head of the Football Federation Henadz Nyavyhlas who used to head the President’s Administration has been forbidden to enter Europe.
The heads of the Handball, Biathlon and Alpine Skiing Federations have also been affected by the sanctions –former head of the House of Representatives Uladzimir Kanaplyou, head of KGB Vadzim Zaitsau and former deputy head of the President’s Administration Natallya Patkevich respectively. Alyaksandr Lukashenka, the President of the Olympic Committee and the state leader, has also been forbidden to enter Europe.

Let us remind you that the EU imposed visa sanctions on Belarusian officials in response to the violations during the election and mass detentions of opposition members.
