Homel officials refused opposition members 30 times
Homel City Executive Committee has refused activists of opposition parties and civil organizations 30 times. Officials did not approve of the idea of organization of pickets in protest of the cancellation of benefits.
Social pickets were supposed to take place in different districts of Homel from December 10 till December 16. However, the City Executive Committee refused all appeals. By the way, Homel authorities have never allowed a single opposition’s action since the presidential election in 2006.
About 150 appeals for meetings and pickets were sent to the City Executive committee during this period.
