Kazulin to be refused opportunity to attend funeral of his wife – head of colony
The head of the colony “Vitsba-3” has announced that he is preparing a refusal that will not allow Alyaksandr Kazulin to leave the colony and attend the funeral of his wife Iryna who died on February 23. Vital Ahnistsikau informed about it during a meeting with a human rights defender Pavel Levin, said the political prisoner’s former lawyer Ihar Rynkevich in an interview with ERB.
“He confirmed that he was going to take a personal decision to refuse Alyaksandr Kazulin the opportunity to take a short break because he had disciplinary violations. It proves that they are violating the law because there are no criteria forbidding a person who spent some time in bed after a hunger strike to go and bury his wife”.
According to the head of the correctional institution, the refusal can be explained by the fact that Kazulin has 4 disciplinary penalties and, taking into account the personality of the prisoner, it is impossible to let him attend the funeral of his wife.
