Labour market researchers become winners of Nobel Prize in economics

Three scientists have been announced as Nobel Prize winners in economic sciences - the Americans Peter Diamond and Dale Mortensen, and the British Christopher Pissarides - for research of methods of labour market analysis.  Their works help to answer the questions why there are so many unemployed people when there are many vacancies at the labour market, and how governing of economy could influence the unemployment problem.

The prize in economic sciences was not mentioned in Alfred Nobel's will. It was established much later - in 1968 - by the National Bank of Sweden, informs Belteleradiocompany.
