Lepel policemen present a book to teenager who stole it
Lepel policemen have invented an unusual “punishment” for a teenager who stole a book “Picnic at the roadside” by brothers Strugatski.
Our reporter Yadviha Stasheuskaya comes up with some details:
"Juvenile delinquency inspectors returned the book to the kiosk and then… bought it to present to the 13-year-old criminal. The thing is neither the boy nor his parents have committed any crimes before. According to the teenager, he wanted to read the book and return it several days later”.
The inspectors decided that the present would always remind the boy that he should not steal. By the way, the book costs 14 thousand roubles.
