"Listapad-2010" film festival to start today in Minsk
The festive opening ceremony of the XVII Minsk International Film Festival "Listapad-2010" will take place today in the Palace of Republic, reports BELTA. The program of the ceremony includes dancing performances, performances of the band "Classic-Avangard" and the vocal band "Clear Voice", as well as the organizers' and participants' greeting speeches. After the opening ceremony there will be a demonstration of the "Brest Fortress" movie in the Small Hall of the Palace of Republic. This year the festival will appear in a completely updated format. There will be 5 separate movie competitions. The main feature film competition is to include the film "Masacra" directed by the Belarusian Andrej Kudzinenka. The winners are to be defined by the professional jury, not by the viewers as before.
