Lithuanian Prime Minister urges to lower cost of Schengen visas for Belarusians

The Lithuanian Prime Minister Gediminas Kirkilas has urged EU member states to lower the cost of Schengen visas for Belarusian citizens. Making a speech at a meeting of the leaders of the Baltic states, he expressed his confidence that a lower cost of visas would promote consolidation of the civil society in Belarus and help the country joint to “democratic values”.
BDG on-line reminds that the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affaires has recently lowered the cost of national visas to 20 euro. Belarus accepted the decision in a positive way. Our Ministry of Foreign Affaires has expressed a hope that Poland may also help Belarusians get Schengen visas at a lower cost.
