Lyavon Barshcheuski gives lecture about Belarusian Freedom Day in Warsaw

Belarusians living in Warsaw have celebrated the 92nd anniversary of the establishment of the BPR with an open lecture conducted by Layvon Barshcheuski. The famous literary man and politician made a historical review of the notable date and described the independent state traditions of Belarus in the XX century. Answering the audience’s questions, the speaker stressed that the Belarusian diaspora had to stick together and try to influence the situation in Belarus.

The “Belarusian National Memory” organization initiated the meeting. Participants were offered sweets after the official part of the event had finished.
