Minskers have started buying more clothes, washing-machines and books this year

Inhabitants of the Belarusian capital have started buying more clothes, washing-machines and books this year. Minsk City Statistics Department informs about it.
According to it, sales of clothes went up by 34% in January-July 2008 in comparison with the last year. However, washing-machines are the leader – Minskers bought 69.5% more of them.

According to the statistic information, many inhabitants of the capital read books in their leisure time. They have bought 12% more printed editions this year, informs the “Minsk-News” agency.
