Pinsk driving inspector is fired for selling lottery tickets instead of fining drivers

A driving inspector has been fired for selling lottery tickets in Pinsk. He used it make infringers buy lottery tickets to avoid paying fines. Our reporter Hleb Paulouski informs about the details:

"Brest Region Executive Committee prepared a lottery “For security” in May. The regional driving inspectorate was responsible for the distribution of tickets. Driving inspectors started making drivers buy 10 lottery tickets for 3 thousand roubles each instead of fining them for misdemeanor.

Drivers started complaining about it. Several driving inspectors were subjected to responsibility after an internal investigation and the Pinsker was fired for the dereliction of duty".

By the way, such cases have already been registered in Pinsk before. Lottery tickets sold by driving inspectors turned out to be winning last year and the driver punished that way won a new car and money.
