Pinsk Jewish community celebrates Hanukkah
The local Jewish community organized a festive concert in Pinsk House of Culture. The Jews are celebrating one of the most important holidays these days – Hanukkah. Children studying in Jewish Sunday schools situated in Pinsk and Pinsk Jews’ guests from Russia, Israel and America performed at the concert. The Jews celebrate Hanukkah for 8 days. The symbol of the holiday is the Menorah - a nine-branched candelabrum. Its lights are kindled one each night of the holiday.
