Presidential contenders to be shown on TV and given opportunity to debate

Each presidential contender will be given an hour on TV and radio. It will be 2 broadcasts 30 minutes each.   Contenders' speeches will be broadcasted by the First TV-Channel. This was informed, according to BELTA, by the Chairperson of the Central Elections Commission of Belarus Lidzia Yarmoshyna.

Alongside with that, the contenders will have more time on air due to the opportunity to conduct televised and radio debates. This time is to be added to the announced hour. Let us remind you that televised debates of presidential contenders last happened in 1994.
