Belarus to discuss "Eastern Partnership" with Visegrád Group today

It is stated in the official notice, issued by the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this regard,  "Current state and perspectives of development of the EU's initiative "Eastern Partnership", issues of optimization of the European neighbourhood policy, as well as preparation for the second "Eastern Partnership summit in 2011 will be discussed at this meeting".

The deputy foreign minister Valery Varanetski will head the Belarusian delegation.

Let us remind you, a statement which condemns violations of human rights in Belarus was adopted at the summit of the heads of governments of the "Visegrád Four" countries (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic), with participation of representatives of Germany, Austria and Ukraine, on February 15.
