First Belarusian gay and lesbian parade takes place in Minsk
The action has been allowed by Minsk City Executive Committee for the first time.
Belarusian gays and lesbians are conducting a street action opposite the republican Ministry of Justice.
According to RIA “Novosti”, about a dozen people are protesting against homophobia and are holding corresponding transparencies. They are shouting out mottoes and demanding “equal rights without a compromise”.
Belarusian gays and lesbians also tried to conduct a similar action last spring but it was interrupted by the police. Policemen confiscated a long rainbow flat and detained a few activists back then.
