Lithuanian Seimas to discuss Ales Byalyatski’s case today

The meeting will be dedicated to the transfer of information about Belarusian opposition representatives’ banking accounts to the Belarusian government. Chairman of the committee Emanuelis Zingeris claimed earlier that the Lithuanian authorities had to find out who is to blame for Lithuania’s shame, informs BelaPAN.

Let us remind you that the Financial Investigation Department of the State Control Committee detained the head of “Vyasna”, Ales Byalyatski, on August 4. The information about Byalyatski’s banking accounts presented by Lithuania is thought to be the reason for his arrest. Byalyatski is facing up to seven years of imprisonment now.
