Russian “Solidarity” activist stands trial. No sentence pronounced
A Russian activist of “Solidarity” Anastasia Rybachenko from Moscow has stood trial but no sentence has been pronounced, says Volha Chaichyts who was in Anastasia’s lock-up during the trial. The thing is Anastasia was detained much later than the others and it did not happen in Soviet Street. She was detained near McDonalds (near October subway station). Anastasia claimed that she had arrived in Minsk with her boyfriend as a tourist – just to take a look at Belarus. When they were going to drop in McDonalds to have a cup of coffee in the evening, they were detained.
Chaichyts: "According to the report Anastasia disagrees with, she was detained in Soviet Street at the time of mass detentions. Due to the major discrepancies and the fact that she is a Russian citizen, no sentence has been pronounced. They said they would send her case to Akrestsina. Anastasia will also be delivered there for further investigation”.
