Street actions forbidden in Egypt, Internet is blocked (photo+video)

About 100 thousand people have come out to the streets in the country. The demonstrations have been dispersed by gas and water cannons. A protest action took place in Egypt on Tuesday. This action has become the biggest one in the recent times - about 100 thousand people protested at the streets in big cities of Egypt.

The authorities of Egypt blocked the mobile communication network, Twitter, Bamboozer, Facebook and other popular sites and social networks, in the first hours. There were about 40 Twitter messages per second when the action had just started - the Egyptian tag #jan25 could have proceed to the world trends with such speed, and the authorities could not let this happen. Now there is a saying in Egypt: "You've blocked Twitter for us - we will block the streets for you!

The crowd of protesters was dissipated to smaller streets yesterday. However, as soon as the authorities realised that the participants had enough energy, desperation and courage to face water cannons despite their small numbers, they poured dozens of liters of the tear-gas on them. Alo, four participants of the action died in hospital due to bodily blows.

Another protest action is expected to take place today at 2 p.m. - Egypt has been inspired by Tunisia and take drastic steps.

Let us remind you, a dictator Hosni Murabak has ruled Egypt for 30 years. The opposition calls for the second day of protests in continuation of yesterday's "Day of Anger" under the mottos "Murabak, Get Out!", "Bread, Freedom, Dignity!" and "We'll Follow Tunisia". 20-30 thousand policemen have been summoned to the center of Cairo by now.
