12:10 Belarus's sugar to resume trading in Russia
Belarus is soon to resume its sugar supplies to Russia, said the Belarusian Sugar Company. The new sugar exports deal has become effective on the day of signing -- March 23, the company said. However, some procedures are yet to be finalized.
Under the deal, Belarus will cut at over 50 percent the supplies of sugar to Russia down to 180,000 tons in 2007; 100,000 tons in 2008 against 376,000 tons in 2005 and 369,000 tons in 2006.
