Bucharest is preparing for Belarusian raper Max Korzh’s concert. Around ten thousand police officers, gendarmes, and intelligence personnel will be deployed to secure the arena and the surrounding area.
As Romanian outlet b365 notes, authorities deployed 14 times fewer security forces for the Metallica concert in Bucharest a week ago, despite that event attracting a larger audience. Football matches also typically involve far fewer law enforcement officers.
Of the 42,000 tickets sold, only 3,000 were purchased from Romania. The rest were bought abroad, mainly in Ukraine, Poland, Moldova, and Germany.
After Max Korzh’s 2025 concert in Warsaw, Polish authorities reported numerous incidents involving alcohol abuse, vandalism, fights, and clashes with police.
Who is Maz Korzh
Max Korzh is a Belarusian singer, rapper, and songwriter born in 1988. He became popular in the early 2010s with a blend of hip-hop, pop, and electronic music, and built a large audience across the Russian-speaking world.
He is among the most commercially successful Belarusian artists of his generation, known for sold-out arena and stadium shows across Eastern Europe.
After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Korzh publicly condemned the war and canceled his planned concerts in Russia.
