Another opposition activist fined for Chernobyl March rally
Ales Sidarevich, an activist with the Belarusian Social Democratic Party, was on May 23 sentenced by a Minsk court to a fine of Br775,00 or around $400.
He was found guilty of organizing an unauthorized demonstration during the opposition-staged Chernobyl March on April 26. Sidarevich was one of the leaders that organized the rally.
Other action arganizers, including Valiantsina Palevikova, Yuras Zainkovich and Aliaksei Yanukevich, were fined with similar amounts.
