About a dozen inhabitants of Baranavichy District have settled in camps in Hantsaushchyna forests.
Berrying has been officially allowed there recently so people have decided to earn some money and are going to spend several weeks in Hantsaushchyna District. The majority of “foresters” are pensioners. One woman will celebrate her 70th birthday soon.
They make fires to cook and drink water from a small rivulet. Some of them gather up to 30 litres of berries per day. Let us note that suppliers pay from 3000 to 3500 BRB per kilo of berries.
