Belarusian customs officers break up exhibition of Piotr Yarhush in Minsk
Belarusian customs officers have been keeping a car with diplomatic plates at the border for 24 hours, - reports “Polish Radio”. Belarusians confiscated several paintings meant to be displayed at the Minsk exhibition of Piotr Yarhush “Made in Poland”.
The car got detained at the post “Varshauski Most”. Polish diplomats arrived at the border trying to solve the problem but it didn’t help. Belarusians confiscated the paintings in the end.
Alena Zdobnikava, secretary and interpreter of the Polish Institute in Minsk (organizer of the exhibition), answered our question about what was going on.
“We cannot give any comments yet. We are waiting. The only thing we can say is the exhibition will be cancelled. It will probably be postponed”.
