Mahileu authorities sell Culture Palace to fill up budget

Mahileu authorities have decided to auction three real estates due to a constant budget deficit. The Culture Palace is one of them. The city lacks money for its restoration. That is why it will be possible to sell the building on condition that it remains a cultural centre and opens in three years.

Mahileu City Council has decreased the financing of non-social programmes. The financing of the Small-Scale Business Support and Development Programme was decreased although it had already been getting peanuts.
