Mahileu Region bilberries’ radioactivity level exceeds norm by 5 times
Mahileu zone hygiene and epidemiology centre has checked the level of radioactivity in 124 samples of bilberries.
25% of the berries exceeded the norm (185 Becquerels per kilo). Bilberries from the village of Hizhenka, Slauharad District exceeded the norm by 5.3 times – 985 Becquerels per kilo.
