Mahilyou university's administration campaigns for pro-government candidate
The Mahilyou State University on September 9 hosted a meeting with MP candidates who are runnig in Mahilyou Central constituency. But only one candidate -- Aliaksandr Yushkevich who used to be MP Krichau -- was present at the meeting.
A total of 6 candidates are running in the same constituency. Why was only one candidate present? University's administration said all the candidates were invited but they did not show up.
Candidate Aliaksandr Silkou, this university allumni, told the European Radio for Belarus that he had not been invited to this meeting.
“These are lies that do not make my university professors look good. Do you think that I who was an active student when at the university would not come to talk to students? I feel hurt. Today, I am going to have a talk with the administration. I've never thought that educated people could lower themselves to such lies."
