OSCE Office alleged to have paid fees to Belarusian officials

A team of experts from Vienna worked at the Minsk Office of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to probe Hans-Jochen Schmidt, head of the mission, reported Belorussky Partizan with reference to Radio Racyja.
The Web site quotes Syarhey Harankou, a driver for the Minsk Office, as saying that OSCE Minsk Office allegedly paid unspecified fees to Anton Shmyhau and Dzyanis Sidarenka, officials of Belarus' foreign ministry.

 

The allegations come days after the opposition group Malady Front appealed to Dora Bakoyannis, chairperson-in-office of the OSCE, over alleged flaws in the OSCE's assessment of a criminal case against Vaukavysk dissidents
