11:22 Universities and schools closed in 10 US states
Some US universities and schools have been closed due a threat of massacre. The “Associated Press” agency reports that the reason for it was the shooting at Virginia Polytechnic Institute as a result of which 32 people were killed.
Schools and universities received threats of shooting in such states as Louisiana, Montana, Washington, Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, North and South Dakota and Michigan.
According to AR, there were also threats concerning Virginia Tech. The authorities of the states admitted that those messages were “unusual” and added that the closing of schools and universities was due to precaution rather than panic. They want to avoid “irreparable mistakes”.
