20-storeyed block of flats on fire in Brest (photo)
A house made of in-situ reinforced concrete was caught on fire in Brest. According to an officer of the Ministry of Emergency Control, the reason for the incident was a short circuit of the power cable. Firemen had to pour water and scum in the central shaft starting from the 17th floor. The fire has been extinguished without any casualties but the whole cable has to be replaced now.
