23 people suspected of plotting unrest on Election Day in Minsk
Siarhei Martsyleu, head of election campaign headquarters of presidential candidate Mikola Statkevich, has become No 23 on the list of suspects in the 'Square'2010' criminal case. He is being held in a KGB pre-trial prison, Tsimafei Dranchuk, spokesman for Detainees Human Rights Center 'Over Barriers', told Belapan news agency. Martsaleu was detained in the night of December 23 on a Minsk-Warsaw train by Belarusian border guards in Brest. He was en route to Warsaw at the invitation of the Polish television channel Belsat to take part in a TV show. Martsaleu had been held till the morning of December 24 in the nearest police station before Да communication was disrupted.
